This class is designed for experienced junior players who are comfortable with live point play and ready to continue developing the technical, tactical, and competitive skills needed for match play. Taught by the USTA award-winning Santa Monica Tennis Collective, sessions focus on consistency, movement, serving, returning, shot selection, court positioning, and point construction through fast-paced drills, live-ball play, and competitive games. Players will work on handling pace, sustaining longer rallies, recognizing offensive and defensive situations, and competing with greater confidence. This class supports continued development for players participating in school teams, USTA Junior Team Tennis, UTR events, USTA tournaments, and other competitive opportunities. Prerequisite: Players should be able to sustain approximately a 10–20 ball rally, serve and return with consistency, keep score, play a full match, and have prior experience with a school team, USTA Junior Team Tennis, UTR, or similar competition. REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
CANCELLED CLASSES: Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
