About This Activity

Description

Super Soccer Stars teaches soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive, and educational environment. Through an age-specific curriculum, soccer is used to nurture, build self-confidence, and develop teamwork. Low child-to-coach ratios and positive reinforcement ensure that each child improves at their own pace.

The goal of the program at this stage is to improve children’s elementary capacity through fun games, technical skill development and group activities. The primary focus is to increase familiarity of space to enable children to develop team skills in a game environment. Emphasis is placed on awareness of teammates constantly so that these skills can be easily transferred into the soccer game.

Players bring their own soccer ball, water bottle, active clothes/shoes to class.

Class Location: Roosevelt Elementary, except May 20 and June 3, which will be held at Clover Park at the south end of the main baseball field.

$35 materials fee payable to Super Soccer Stars for soccer jersey - click link below for processing and payment. Please disregard class days/times - class is a $0 placeholder to process materials fee. Jersey will ship straight to your address! Processing time is 2-3 weeks.

PRIORITY ONLINE REGISTRATION for Santa Monica residents begins Wednesday, January 24th at 6 a.m. Non-resident registration begins Wednesday, January 31st at 6 a.m. Online registration is required. Walk-in registration is not available.

REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.

REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.

CANCELLED CLASSES: Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
