Description
Join LA Spanish School for a full-day Spanish immersion experience during the Santa Monica school holiday!
Through our Theme-Based Project Curriculum™ and our special theme, “Al jardín,” children will experience Spanish naturally through hands-on projects, multicultural cooking, gardening exploration, art, music, movement, storytelling, outdoor games, and movie time.
Children will help clean and prepare our Garden of Dreams for the next fall planting season. They will also enjoy an age-appropriate cooking project, meet Rosita—our Spanish-speaking puppet—and participate in engaging activities designed to strengthen vocabulary, pronunciation, listening skills, confidence, creativity, and cultural appreciation.
Activities will be organized and adapted according to the children’s ages and Spanish levels. No previous Spanish experience is required.
Children should bring lunch, two snacks, a refillable water bottle, and comfortable clothing suitable for gardening and outdoor activities. Younger children must be fully potty-trained.
Material Fee: $15.00 to be paid to the instructor of camp!
Online registration is required. Walk-in registration is not available.
REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
CANCELLED CLASSES: Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
