Description
A joyful Spanish playgroup designed for toddlers and their caregivers. Children explore Spanish through songs, movement, storytelling, puppets, and sensory play in a warm and engaging environment. Guided by our Theme-Based Project Curriculum™, young learners are introduced to Spanish vocabulary through playful routines, music, and hands-on activities including our Garden of Dreams.
Children also interact with Rosita, our classroom puppet friend, who helps connect Spanish words to daily routines and playful learning experiences.Rosita’s adventures continue beyond the classroom through short video clips and stories connected to our weekly themes. Children can follow Rosita on little adventures—such as Rosita va a la montaña, Rosita va a la playa, or Rosita recoge flores en el jardín—giving families a playful way to revisit familiar Spanish vocabulary at home.
Requirements:
- Caregiver participation is encouraged to help children follow activities and enjoy a positive early language experience.
- No previous Spanish experience is required!
- Please bring: snack and water.
- Material Fee: $30 material fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class.
REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be made by email to community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
CANCELLED CLASSES will be made up at the end of the session. Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
