Description
Little Steps, Big Discoveries—in Spanish!
Spanish Steps is a nurturing, small-group Spanish immersion program designed to help young children build confidence and independence as they prepare for the preschool years. Through music, storytelling, movement, creative play, art, nature, and hands-on experiences, children develop early Spanish language skills while becoming comfortable with classroom routines and spending time independently away from a parent or caregiver.
Our gentle adjustment approach respects each child's individual readiness, providing a warm and supportive environment where children can develop trust, social-emotional skills, and a sense of belonging. Experiences in our Garden of Dreams bring language learning outdoors through nature and sensory exploration.
Spanish Steps can serve as a bridge to LA Spanish School's Spanish Immersion Preschool, another preschool program, or simply as a child's first step toward greater independence.
Requirements:
- No previous Spanish experience is required!
- Please bring: snack and water.
- Material Fee: $30 material fee is due to the instructor on the first day of class.
REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be made by email to community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
CANCELLED CLASSES will be made up at the end of the session. Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
