Level 2: Primary Skills, Ages 4 years and up.
Before entering this level, children must feel comfortable submerging their face underwater as well as floating on their stomach and back with the help of an instructor. Students will learn to perform skills independently such as recovering to a standing position from a float position, glides, front and back arms motions, front and back flutter kicks and an introduction to rhythmic breathing.
Swim assessments to determine the appropriate level for your child are available during our recreational swim hours. If you are new to our program, a swim assessment is strongly encouraged to ensure your child is placed in the right level.
Additionally, with the exception of Parent & Me classes, parents are not allowed in the water for any lesson and are encouraged to remain clear of the lesson area to ensure the quality of each individual lesson. Only those on the instructor’s roster will be permitted in the class and attending a different class time is not permitted. All participants must attend the class and class time in accordance with their original registration unless approved for a transfer to a different class/time.
Swim lessons will not be held on the following dates for the Summer Session:
