What’s the difference between an egg and larvae? Well your camper can figure that out for themselves this week at Mote Camp! From the babies to the adults, the oceans are home to a variety of life stages that all come together to make some incredible ecosystems. SWIMMING SKILLS REQUIRED Campers will participate in water activities Tuesday through Thursday. These activities include snorkeling, field sampling, and a Sarasota Bay boat excursion. Campers will receive instruction and guidance for all water-based activities. Swimming skills are required, however campers do not need to be advanced swimmers. They must be comfortable getting in the water and be able to doggy paddle. A certified lifeguard will be in the water with camp groups at all times. This camp also includes tours of the Marine Mammal Center. Campers may register for a morning AND afternoon session to make a full day of environmental fun at Mote! Full-day campers will bring a nut-free lunch and enjoy a supervised lunch break with fellow campers from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
