About This Activity
Come aboard as campers journey into the unknown! This week, campers will explore careers in both sea and space science and uncover the surprising connections between them. From submarines to spaceships and the deep ocean to deep space, campers will take part in out-of-this-world science activities, explore real exploration technology, and discover how scientists at Mote venture into the unknown to make new discoveries. SWIMMING SKILLS REQUIRED Campers will participate in water activities Tuesday through Thursday. These activities include snorkeling, field sampling, and a Sarasota Bay boat excursion. Campers will receive instruction and guidance for all water-based activities. Swimming skills are required, however campers do not need to be advanced swimmers. They must be comfortable getting in the water and be able to doggy paddle. A certified lifeguard will be in the water with camp groups at all times.
