About This Activity

In preparation for sea turtle nesting season, join us as we learn more about what Mote’s doing to keep sea turtles safe. Students can expect to get a sneak peek at what it’s really like to be a sea turtle biologist. During this interactive class, we will learn about sea turtle nesting in Florida through a mock nest excavation and discuss ways humans can make life easier for them. We’ll end the day with a trip down to our sea turtle hospital. We turtle-y can’t wait to see you! This class includes a water program. Please come prepared to get wet and be in the sun (your confirmation email will have detailed suggestions on what to wear and bring). Closed-toe water shoes are required for all water programs. Registration closes two days prior to class. Please note: our Homeschool Days are extremely popular and typically fill weeks or even months in advance.
