Who eats more, a copepod or a turtle? Who produces more oxygen, phytoplankton or kelp? This week, campers will explore the wonders of the microorganisms and compare them to some of our bigger friends found in the oceans. Note: Given the heat and frequent afternoon storms in the summer here, our afternoon camps do have limited include the water activities of our morning camps. Instead, campers will spend more time keeping cool indoors, while still exploring the Marine Mammal Center. Weather permitting, campers will spend time outdoors, with bay walks and other adventures on City Island. Campers may register for a morning AND afternoon session to make a full day of environmental fun at Mote! Full-day campers will bring a nut-free lunch and enjoy a supervised lunch break with fellow campers from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
