Campers will take a deep dive into the great depths of the ocean this week at Mote Camp! Swim through the abyss and discover what creatures live in the dark. Giant squid, tube worms, and glowing fish to just name a few- how exciting to see where Mote research is trying to fill in the gaps of what lurks in the deep. This camp has water days Tuesday-Friday that include dip netting, snorkeling, and kayaking. SWIMMING SKILLS REQUIRED Campers will participate in water activities Tuesday through Thursday. These activities include snorkeling, field sampling, and kayaking. Campers will receive instruction and guidance for all water-based activities. A certified lifeguard will be in the water with camp groups at all times. This camp also includes tours of the Marine Mammal Center. Campers may register for a morning AND afternoon session to make a full day of environmental fun at Mote! Full-day campers will bring a nut-free lunch and enjoy a supervised lunch break with fellow campers from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
