What’s the difference between a sea turtle and a tortoise? At Adventure Camp, campers will explore the wonderful world of Mote’s shelled friends—both in freshwater and saltwater habitats. Each day focuses on a different turtle found in Florida as campers snorkel local ecosystems, sample the water to discover tiny critters, and enjoy turtle-themed games and activities. Join Mote on City Island this summer and shell-abrate turtles and adventure! We highly recommend that Tidal Tykes have some experience in a structured classroom setting before attending Mote Camp. SWIMMING SKILLS REQUIRED Campers will participate in water activities Tuesday through Thursday. These activities include snorkeling and field sampling. Campers will receive instruction and guidance for all water-based activities. Swimming skills are required, however campers do not need to be advanced swimmers. They must be comfortable getting in the water and be able to doggy paddle. A certified lifeguard will be in the water with camp groups at all times.
