Description
Town of Scituate First Annual Striper Fishing Tournament: KID'S SHORE SINGLES: July 18, 5:00am - 4:00pm. 4:00pm - 6:30pm: Food and winners announcement. Fee: $15. Each boat team, or individual will launch or cast their lines at 0500 hours on the morning of July 18, on an honor system. Any persons who launch before 0500 or submit a photo taken before 0500 will be disqualified. Winning fish are judged by length only, not weight. Fish length is measured from lower jaw to tip of tail, with the tail pinched. Fish may not be stretched or altered in any way that can harm the fish. This will result in immediate termination from consideration. To be eligible, the photo must clearly show the entire fish, including the 4-digit registration code (given day prior to event). This code will link your catch to your category, and your self. Submitted fish must be caught within the following areas: Scituate water ways, from Basin Beach to Rexham. This includes the North, South, Gulf and Herring Rivers. Massachusetts DMF Regulation (2026) allows recreational anglers to keep one striped bass per day between 28" and under 31". These rules remain in effect until further notice. Once your submission is in, that is your one submission and only one photo is accepted per code. All fisherman must possess valid certification or licenses required to fish in the State of Massachusetts. All teams and fisherman will need to pick up their 4 digit code identifier at the Harbormasters Office, 100 Cole Parkway, Scituate, MA.Activity Sub-Category
