Description
Homeschool Sewing at The Makery in North Scituate (Ages 7+): 371 Gannett Road. Learn to sew! Students ages 7 and up will learn how to safely use a sewing machine including threading, winding a bobbin, changing stitches and troubleshooting problems. Learn many sewing techniques such as sewing straight and curved lines, making an elastic casing, hemming, applique, hand sewing and more - all while making everything needed for a sleepover: pillowcase, pajama pants, and a teddy bear. The Makery sewing machines have a speed control to help keep little fingers safe but students are expected to be mature enough to listen and follow directions to use the machines and tools safely. 6 weeks. 6 maximum participants.
