Ages 9-13. The Short Fuse Theatre Project presents the Musical Workshop of Disney's Aladdin Kids! Your wish is our command! The 30 minute musical, Aladdin Kids, is adapted especially for young performers and includes favorite songs such as "Friend Like Me," "A Whole New World," and "Prince Ali." With colorful characters and nonstop adventure, this production is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Please note this musical workshop is geared towards exposing and preparing our actors for auditioning, rehearsing and performing a musical and will run differently than past editions of the Short Fuse Theatre Project. Once you have registered for this workshop edition, you're IN the show. We audition and assign roles from who has registered.
This is a
TWO WEEK intensive project for actors ages 9-13. We will be workshopping and performing a 30 minute musical at the end of the two weeks. Actors
MUST be available with
NO conflicts for all rehearsal dates. Be ready to act, sing and dance!
Auditions will be held Monday, August 25th and cast completed prior to the start of the musical intensive. Actors will receive scripts and music once they have been cast. Everyone will have a speaking role and a moment in the music to shine! Actors will be expected to come prepared to the first in person rehearsal with ALL their lines memorized and to be familiar with the songs. Once cast, actors will have 5 weeks in advance to read, memorize and learn. Directors will be available for virtual check-ins so all actors feel supported.
Communication is key for this intensive to run smoothly. Please make sure all text and email contact information is accurate when registering.Pre-Intensive Dates:Audition Date - Monday, August 25th, 4-6:30pm in Scituate Recreation's Multi-Purpose Room. Auditions will be held in 30 minute group audition slots. Actors will be asked to sing 15-30 seconds of a song given and prepare some lines. Options will be sent to actors after registration. Slots will be assigned once registered.
All roles will be cast and scripts available by Friday, August 29th so actors have 5 weeks to memorize and prepare their lines and songs.
