Recreational Swim Team provides your child an introduction to a swim team environment where they will practice their swimming skills, build self-esteem, make new friends, get physically fit, and gain competitive experience. Swimmers will be working on all four competitive strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. Ages five and up and all fitness levels are welcome. Swimmers are required to have a baseline understanding of all four competitive strokes and the ability to swim consecutive laps in a competition pool (25 yards). It is highly recommended that swimmers have completed Learn to Swim lessons through the Sharks level. Practices will be in groups based on swimmer's age and the coaches are happy to work with all skill levels.On Saturday, May 23 following the last practice, there will be a small swim meet. Information about the meet will be sent out during the season.
