About This Activity
The After School Opti Sailing Boot Camp is perfect both for kids excited about learning to sail and kids wanting to better their previous sailing skills. This focused 6 week class meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4:30 to 7:30. Students will get a chance to develop from beginners into advanced sailors with a pair of our excellent coaches. Sailors who build skills in this program will be well suited to join our Opti Race Team in the following season. No previous sailing experience is required to join this class, however, it is preferred that sailors demonstrate passion and excitement about the sport as they and their classmates learn. Opti Sailboats accommodate sailors up to around 120lbs. If your sailor is above this limit or if they are especially tall for their age they may be more comfortable in our larger boats.
