Recommended for students with at least 2 years on their instrument. Think of this as your normal practice with professional guidance and instant feedback. Visit Zoom.us to create your FREE account. You'll need access to a computer or tablet with an internet connection. The day of the lesson, a link and any related materials will be sent to the email address(es) you provide on the registration. You’ll receive 2 emails. One from our registration system Active, confirming your purchase and explaining the technical set-up with Zoom. Another email from our Education Director Kelly Clingan, who will confirm your instrument and walk you through the teachers available to you and how to book your first lesson. Lessons will be scheduled for dates and times mutually agreed upon by student and instructor. Lessons must be used by February 1, 2021. After you’ve created your Zoom account, you’ll visit your chosen teacher’s Calendly schedule and book a time slot with them. On the day and time of your lesson, be sure you are in a quiet space in your home with your laptop (or tablet or smart phone), plus your instrument, paper and pencil. You’ll click the Zoom link in your Calendly confirmation email and your teacher will meet you there on the video conference. Be sure to join the ‘meeting’ with video and computer audio when prompted. Do you have an instrument right now? If not, JazzED may be able to loan you one. Contact program manager Robert Babs: email@example.com to request an instrument. Inventory is limited.
