About This Activity
***This camp takes place in Sequim Bay at the John Wayne Marina*** This sailing course is the most popular way for beginners to learn the fundamentals of sailing. Using safe and stable Opti sailboats, sailors will learn to rig, take down, tack, jibe, and execute a safety stop. This is the first camp in the Opti program. Completion of Opti Beginner allows your sailor to progress to Opti Intermediate. Completion of any Opti Summer Camp will allow your sailor to join the Opti Sailing Team in the fall. If you are interested in this option please speak to your camp instructor.
