About This Activity
Description
PARENT AND CHILD INTRO TO SWIM - Builds basic water safety skills for both the parent and child, helping infants and young children 1 year old to 3 years become comfortable in the water so they are willing and ready to learn to swim. These basic skills include adjusting to the water environment, showing comfort while maintaining a front or back position in the water. Also demonstrating breath control, including blowing bubbles or voluntarily submerging under water. Only one adult can accompany a child in the water. Children that are not potty trained are required to wear swim diapers.
Session 1 dates (Wednesdays): June 11, 18, 25, and July 2
