Description
Ages 8-12Level: Suzuki Book 1-2 or equivalent, experience with 1 octave scales, beginning fluency in note reading and rhythm
Sinfonietta is a continuation of the Levine Premiere Orchestra. Rehearsals will be focused on performance and the development of ensemble skills. There will be significant emphasis on the development of individual techniques relating to their instrument (violin, viola, or cello). In addition to full ensemble coaching, students will also work in smaller groups for sectional time with expert faculty each week. Students who did not participate in the Premiere Orchestra last year are welcome to enroll upon approval of the instructor and are required to attend a placement interview with the following link: https://levine.formstack.com/forms/beginner_string_orchestra_interview_signup
