Sodus Bay Junior Sailing Association is happy to announce I-SAIL, a specialized sailing program to include youth on the spectrum. This new program provides children ages 8-18 an exciting and supported experience on the water. Our entire staff has been specifically trained by Brendan Sailing from Annapolis, MD, to provide a positive sailing experience. The goal of this program is exposure to sailing skills, while gaining comfort on the water in a larger and more stable sailboat. Sailing can provide self-esteem, increased confidence, and social interactions. Perspective I-SAIL youth will be engaged in sailing school life at their level and pace, with individualized modifications. This is an exciting new program we are looking forward to sharing with our sailing community! The I-SAIL program will be available during weeks 5 and 6 of the summer camp session. Scholarships are available for camp tuition. If you are interested in registering for the program, please get in touch with board member Deb Reisch at secretary@sbjsa.org or Katharine Coleman at k.coleman@sbjsa.org.
