About This Activity
NO PREREQUISITES In order to get the most out of our Learn to Sail Curriculum, we strongly recommend that you sign up for two consecutive weeks! Attending camp for two weeks at a time provides young sailors with enough time to get comfortable on the water and in our boats before we dive into the basics of sailing. Learn to Sail (LTS) is the camp foundation to sailing and being comfortable on the water, including ages 8-18. Campers will be instructed in the Optimist Pram, the Laser, and the 2-person Club 420 sailboat depending on their age, weight, and progression through our curriculum. All campers will also participate in our “Adventure Trek” paddlecraft program, which includes instruction in the care and safe use of kayaks & stand-up paddleboards. A camper may spend several seasons to complete the entire LTS program, and may choose to move on to Performance Sailing or Adventure Sailing after completion. Limited sailorships are available based on need. Scholarship Applications are now in the camper registration data select yes or no and complete the registration process.
