About This Activity
PREREQUISITES: COMPLETION OF LEARN TO SAIL LEVEL III, AT LEAST ONE DOUBLE SESSION IN PERFORMANCE SAILING, RECOMMENDATION OF INSTRUCTORS & RACE COACH. The SBJSA Travel Race Team (TRT) utilizes advanced skills as our sailors compete in sailing activities including traveling to regional competitions. intramural sailboat racing, and involves learning the fundamental rules of competitive sailboat racing. Traveling and meeting fellow sailors from programs all over our region is a highlight of the program. Parent involvement is strongly encouraged as or sailors will be traveling and attending regattas off campus. Our Opti Race team competes regionally on Wednesdays and at weekend regattas. Our Laser/420 team competes regionally on Tuesdays and at weekend regattas. Weight and height restrictions apply to specific sailboats. Scholarship Applications are now in the camper registration data select yes or no and complete the registration process.
