About This Activity
LTS Opti (Ages 7-13) This program is divided into 3 classes based on age, skill and confidence. If your sailor is NEW to SBJSA, they will be placed in LTS Opti Beginner. They will sail with a partner for the week. This class is capped at 10 sailors for a healthy and safe instructor-student ratio. If your sailor has sailed with us before and is most comfortable sailing with a partner, they will be placed in LTS Opti Middle. This class is capped at 10 sailors for a healthy and safe instructor-student ratio. If your sailor has sailed with us before and is ready and able to sail alone, they will be placed in LTS Opti Advanced. This class is capped at 7 sailors for a healthy and safe instructor-student ratio. Each class has its own curriculum that builds on prior ones as laid out by US Sailing and taught through SBJSA high standards. Within the week, your sailor may shift into other classes based on age, skill and confidence per instructor recommendation.
