About This Activity
Description
In this 4-week course, you will learn knot tying, how to use the wind to your advantage, set up and take down a sailboat, operate a vessel on land and then in the water, and most of all, the fun of sailing! There will be approximately six classroom hours and 6 hours of water instruction. Class is weather-dependent. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards and tread water for 1 minute. Participants must supply a Coast Guard-approved life vest. Participants must bring a swimsuit and towel, a notebook and pen, and a positive attitude. Class size is limited, so please register early!
