About This Activity
Intro to Racing THIS CAMP IS FOR CHILDREN WHO CAN SAIL INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT 'FUNDAMENTALS' INSTRUCTION. This camp is designed for those who have graduated out of Big Gusts and are interested in racing single handed boats. Sailors are introduced to racing concepts: Points of sailing, buoy rounding, starts and finishing. Knowledge of the points of sail and boat handling skills are required. Students may be assigned boat type based on their size, skill, interest, and wind conditions.
