Make history in the pool! Williamson County Parks and Recreation is launching its first-ever Youth Water Polo League in July and August 2027. Each of four WCPR league locations will field a co-ed ages 8–10 team and a co-ed ages 11–13 team. Players will learn the fundamentals before moving into weekly matchups beginning in Week 2. Monthly tryout and registration clinics begin in January 2027. Each month, Coach Jake Wood, will lead one Saturday session and one Sunday session lasting 1–2 hours at Longview Recreation Center, Franklin Recreation Complex, or Indoor Sports Complex. Interested youth ages 8–13 can try introductory skills while parents meet with Jake, complete sign-up and location-preference forms, and register early. The standard fee is $250, and eligible early registration saves $100 for a reduced fee of $150. Parents may also apply to coach; volunteers must pass a background check, be eager to learn and follow the provided water polo curriculum and attend a preseason coaches meeting. An approved parent who commits to the season may have the program fee waived for their participating child.
