About This Activity

Description

Welcome to Youth Water Polo, where we introduce children aged 8-11 to the exciting world of water polo! Our program focuses on teaching basic skills and understanding of the sport in a fun and recreational format. While water polo is known for its toughness and endurance, our youth program emphasizes the enjoyable and dynamic aspects of the game, creating a safe and easy-to-learn experience that encourages kids to swim and stay fit. Through our activities, participants not only improve their water polo skills but also develop essential life skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and water safety. Our program aims to build a strong foundation for a fun and rewarding summer experience, where children can develop lasting friendships and memories. Join us this summer and let your child dive into a world of fun, fitness, and friendship with Youth Water Polo! Prerequisites: Participants will be tested on their first day and are expected to complete a water competency sequence which includes: Swim a front crawl for 25 yards continuously while breathing to the front or side. Maintain position for one minute by treading water or floating (or combination of the two). Swim 25 yards of backstroke. Exit pool without using a ladder or steps.
