About This Activity
Description
In this class, students build on foundational swimming skills by combining arm strokes with strong, continuous kicks. They will practice freestyle and elementary backstroke for increased distance, focusing on body control and direction changes in the water. Students will also learn how to safely turn and return to the wall independently. Prerequisites: Students can perform front and back floats unassisted with kicks and unassisted front and back glides with kicks.Sub-Category
