CLASS DESCRIPTION Grab your camera (or iPhone) and get ready to explore the great outdoors! Learn the fundamentals of photography including Lightning, Framing, Focus, Depth of Field, and how to apply Filters. We’ll also have some fun with Film and Polaroid cameras. TEACHER An explorer at heart, Grant Alen has a passion for seeking out dramatic and unique landscapes at the ends of the earth. Whether it’s chasing the Northern Lights in Alaska, exploring the Lofoten Islands of Norway or hiking through the surreal landscapes of Patagonia, Grant loves new adventures and sharing his stories (and photos) with others. Grant has adventured through 49 states and 39 countries, and directed & produced several award-winning documentary films focused on social justice and human rights issues. He spends his free time climbing mountains, downhill skiing and exploring the outdoors with his camera.He has called Colorado home for more than a decade and is based in Steamboat Springs. Find his work at: grantalan.com CANCELATION POLICY Prior to June 1st, refunds can be given for Young at Art Summer Camps – minus a non-refundable, $35 administration fee. Requests must be made in writing. You may transfer your young artist to another Young at Art Summer Camp, with the same cost, if there is space available and the transfer request is made prior to June 1. Transfers can only be made to another camp within the same Summer Camp season. Steamboat Creates reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a Young at Art camp for any reason, including canceling a camp that does not meet minimum registration requirements or canceling a camp due to inclement weather. If SC cancels a camp, paid registrants will be given a full refund.
