About This Activity
Coral reefs are not the only marine ecosystem that makes the Florida Keys so special! Explore how mangroves, seagrass beds and other coastal ecosystems work together to protect us and the amazing wildlife that live here. This camp includes a water activity, kayaking the mangrove and sponge garden habitats. This camp is for rising 4th - 8th graders and is hosted at Mote's International Center for Coral Reef Research & Restoration in Summerland Key, Florida. PLEASE NOTE: This program takes place at our laboratory location in the LOWER FLORIDA KEYS (NOT in Sarasota). Refunds will NOT be issued if registered for the wrong location.
