Designed for the more adventurous mountain bikers who ride all the time and want to grow their skills and expand their trail repertoire, this advanced camp goes beyond the basics. We explore different trail systems daily and ride some of the most challenging terrain, covering several miles before and after lunch. Because of the nature of this camp, spots are limited to keep a safe camper to counselor ratios and we reserve the right to vet all campers prior to acceptance. Riders who have attended our camps in previous years have priority while new camper will be asked to share information and possibly ride with one of our staff prior to acceptance. Transportation is provided daily. We also provide snacks and water. Lunch is brown bag. Campers must provide their own bike and helmet. *While riding is our focus in this camp, we realize that we are at the mercy of Mother Nature. Should there be inclement weather, additional activities may be deemed more appropriate. We have access to a pool, classrooms, and gymnasium at school. Our staff has a combined 40+ years’ experience in education and outdoor recreation. Mr. Keeney and Mr. Glorioso run several outdoor clubs on campus, coach the Maryland Interscholastic Cycling League (MICL) race team at Loyola Blakefield as well as their teaching responsibilities. They have been running outdoor clubs and camps for the last two decades respectively and look forward to working with your child(ren) during this week of camp.
