StarGuard Lifeguard Class dates (location TBD):
*Must first pass swim testSaturday, April 11, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (with break for lunch) at Parks and Recreation Administration, 900 S. Randolph Way (Mesquite Room)
Sunday, April 12, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (with break for lunch) at Catalina Pool, 2005 N. Dodge Blvd.
Saturday, April 18, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (with break for lunch) at Catalina Pool, 2005 N. Dodge Blvd.
Virtual meeting: Wednesday, May 20, at 4 p.m. (Microsoft Teams Link will be sent to those who qualify)
Lifeguard Orientation: Tuesday, May 26
Must be able to commit to all 3 days of the class schedule (24 hours total).Must be available to work all of June and July (potential to work through the year)Must apply online after passing Star Guard Lifeguard class.Must be 15 at the time of application.
Passing the swim test does not count as your application.
Must pass Swim Test
Skills include1. nonstop 300-yard swim, freestyle2. 2-minute tread in deep end, hands out of water3. 50-yard approach stroke w/ tube4. 50-yard swim with dummy5. Retrieve brick from 12 ft depth
