Description
Lifeguard Swim Test
Sunday, September 20, 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. at Catalina Pool 2005 N Dodge Blvd
Skills Include:
1. 300-yard nonstop freestyle swim 2. Two-minute tread in deep water with hands out of the water 3. 50-yard approach stroke with a rescue tube 4. 50-yard swim with a rescue dummy 5. Retrieve a brick from a 12-foot depth
After passing the swim test, participants may attend one of the following StarGuard Lifeguard classes. Both options are scheduled during Fall Break.
STARGUARD CLASS OPTION 1
Participants must attend all four days: Monday, September 28, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Parks and Recreation Administration, Mesquite Room 900 S. Randolph Way
Tuesday, September 29, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Clements Pool 8155 E. Poinciana Drive
Wednesday, September 30, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Clements Pool 8155 E. Poinciana Drive
Thursday, October 1, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Clements Pool 8155 E. Poinciana Drive
STARGUARD CLASS OPTION 2
Participants must attend all three days:
Sunday, October 4, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Parks and Recreation Administration, Mesquite Room 900 S. Randolph Way
Saturday, October 10, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Archer Pool 1665 S. La Cholla Blvd.
Sunday, October 11, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Catalina Pool 2005 N. Dodge Blvd.
Each class option includes 24 total training hours. Participants must attend every scheduled class date.
