About This Activity
Buzzard’s Peak Summer Swim Team is designed for athletes ages 5–18 who are interested in learning and experiencing competitive swimming. The team will participate in one or two swim meets during the summer, with meet dates and locations announced during the season. Participants will receive a t-shirt and a swim cap. Athletes are coached by current and former competitive swimmers who focus on developing strong fundamentals and race skills. Swimmers will work on improving technique in all competitive strokes, practicing turns and race starts, and learning the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. Eligibility Requirements Swimmers interested in joining must be able to: • Swim at least 50 yards of freestyle without assistance • Demonstrate familiarity with all competitive strokes • Swim comfortably in deep water Schedule and Policies There will be no practices on July 16 and July 23. No refunds will be issued for the Summer Swim Team.
