About This Activity
Strengthen core math skills and boost confidence this summer in our 2-student, 10-hour, hands-on, fun math workshop! Your child will learn age- and grade-appropriate skills for a stronger math foundation. In this Math Group, students will build essential skills for future math success. Key areas of focus include: - mastering forward and backward numeral sequencing up to 100 - establishing a conceptual understanding of place value through the use of materials to represent two-digit numbers - comprehending number structures within 10 These skills are fundamental for developing better, deeper understanding of applied addition and subtraction strategies. Using hands-on manipulatives, working with a partner, and engaging in enjoyable activities to cement concepts, your child will feel more confident as they head into 2nd grade math in the fall.
