About This Activity

Come join one of the most popular, hardworking, and fun youth lacrosse camps in the area. The Gonzaga Lacrosse Summer Camp puts you right in the heart of Washington, DC, on Gonzaga’s campus to compete, grow and learn from one of the top high school programs in the country. The Gonzaga lacrosse program has been a perennial powerhouse in the highly competitive Mid-Atlantic region. The Eagles won nine of the last eleven WCAC championships and earned five #1 Washington Post rankings and nine top-20 national rankings in the last decade. The Gonzaga lacrosse program is run by varsity head coach Jeff King. Coach King has been with Gonzaga lacrosse for over ten years and is one of the most well-respected high school coaches in the region. The camp is run by the program’s longest-tenured coach, Andrew Battaile. Coach Battaile has worked on every level of the program for the past 25 years. He coached the freshman and JV lacrosse teams before becoming a varsity assistant for goalies and defense. Other coaches from the program as well as current players and alumni, work as counselors. We place a priority on having fun, playing with sportsmanship, and learning about the great game of lacrosse. This camp strives to be different from others in that the most important goal truly is to have fun. The camp focuses on fundamentals, advanced position-specific techniques, and skills development. There is a high degree of individualized instruction, small-group position drills, fast-paced scrimmages, and game situations.
