Middle/High school (grades 7-12) sailing at LMSS has grown from a handful of dedicated sailors and parents to over 45 sailors in each of the spring and fall seasons. With practice and regattas tailored to all experience levels, this popular after-school activity is a perfect way to continue sailing beyond the summer. MIDDLE SCHOOLERS: Arrive as early as you can, do not have to wait until 4:30. Fees for middle/high school sailing include coaching, use of LMSS boats and sails, and supported participation in local and travel regattas. LMSS fees do not include regatta or travel costs, or additional school athletic fees. Conference and Varsity Regattas During both spring and fall seasons, sailors can participate in many local and regional regattas at two different levels. Conference Regattas take place on Saturdays in various Twin Cities locations and are open to grade levels 7-12. Varsity Regattas are two-day regional and national events limited to high school sailors. Rosters for these regattas are often determined by the coaching staff.
