Brand new for 2025, the Esports & Gaming summer camp at the Oscar Lasko YMCA offers a dynamic experience for young gamers! Each week, campers will dive into different game titles for both morning and afternoon sessions, with featured games like Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite, and popular Sports Games. This camp’s curriculum combines teamwork, competitive play, and creative learning. Campers will face exciting challenges, engage in team-based activities, and have plenty of opportunities to explore a wide range of games. Short daily lessons will feature insights into game design, game-based coaching, coding, and even potential career pathways in gaming and S.T.E.A.M., giving campers a glimpse into how their favorite games are built and run. More than just play, our program emphasizes enhancing strategic communication, teamwork, and developing confidence in a safe and structured environment. Open to gamers of all skill levels, the camp will leave participants with new skills, friendships, and memories to last a lifetime. Campers can choose from a full-day option or two half-day sessions to tailor their experience to their preferences. This specialty camp will remain at the Oscar Lasko YMCA throughout the camp day and will not travel to our Coatesville branch. These camps will not participate in swim or in house experiences and will offer a unique experience to bolster their summer.
