Description
Baseball and T-Ball Indoor League Rules
The West Fargo Park District is excited to offer a Youth Baseball Program on the indoor turf at the Rustad Recreation Center. The early registration deadline is February 20. After the registration deadline fees will increase.
This program uses the West Fargo Park District blue/white reversible jerseys. Jerseys are required for this program. Please register your child for a jersey using the 5973 code.
Team schedules and team assignments will be emailed out at least a week before the program begins. Team rosters will be assigned according to school attending, please specify the school your child attends or will be attending. Girls and boys will play together. Siblings will be grouped together unless otherwise noted.
During the first two sessions, T-ball players will focus on skill development and the rules of the game.
Players should bring their own baseball glove with them to practice every day. Bats will be provided. Helmets are required. Parents are encouraged to bring your own helmet to avoid sharing. Shared helmets will be provided for those that don't have one. Molded cleats or tennis shoes only are allowed on the turf.
Modified Tball
This beginner league for boys and girls focuses on learning the basic fundamentals of baseball. Qualified Park District staff will coach players on the proper techniques of throwing, fielding, running bases and batting through this 6-session program. In this league, coaches will pitch three balls front toss to the batters and if the batter does not hit the ball after three pitches, a tee will be used. The use of helmets is required. We strongly recommend for hygienic reasons to bring your own helmet labeled with your child’s name. If you don’t have a helmet, helmets will be provided by the West Fargo Park District.
