About This Activity
Description
Traveling Baseball teams are formed at each age group from 9U-14U and entered into the league based on registration numbers and skill level. Coaches will draft teams based on practice performance for 9U & 10U or review results for 11U-14U. Traveling Baseball is a volunteer coached league that travels to surrounding communities. The season begins mid April and runs through July. All 11U-14U teams have games on Tues/Thurs evenings and all 9U-10U teams have games Mon/Wed evenings. Each team will practice 2 times a week based on coach & field availability. In addition, weekend tournaments are available at an extra expense to the participant and may include an extra practice. Birth date regulations apply. Transportation is the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Practice is tentatively set to start the first week in May. Specific practice information will be emailed out after the coaches meeting which is schedule for April 22.Athletes are responsible for purchasing their own white baseball pants, socks & belt. All athletes will receive a jersey to be worn for games during the season. Participants who do not return their jersey are subject to a $50 fee. Teams with sponsors will receive an additional shirt.
Skill Review or First Practice Dates/Times/Location:It is MANDATORY for players to attend their scheduled skill review. 9U (3rd Grade): 1st practice Sunday, May 3, 4-5:30pm at Riverview Park 10U (4th Grade): 1st practice Sunday, May 3, 5:30-7pm at Riverview Park 11U (5th Grade): Sunday, April 19 from Noon-1pm at Riverview Park 12U (6th Grade): Sunday, April 19 from 1:15-2:15pm at Riverview Park 13U (7th Grade): Sunday, April 19 from 2:15-3:15pm at Riverview Park 14U (8th Grade): Sunday, April 19 from 3:15-4:15pm at Riverview Park
Rain Date Info: 9U/10U - Information on the next practice will be emailed out11U-14U - Sunday, April 19, at the West Salem Lions Shelter at regularly scheduled time
Coaches Meeting will be held at 7:00pm on April 22 at WS Rec.
GRADES: MUST currently be in 3rd-8th grade for the 2025-26 school year
