About This Activity
Description
Traveling volleyball teams will be created at the 5th and 6th grade levels. Teams are part of a traveling league and will play games in West Salem, La Crosse, G.E.T, Bangor, Onalaska, Holmen, and Winona. The season runs from late August through mid October. An end of the season tournament will be held at Central. Practices will be held on Mondays, with games on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Transportation is the responsibility of the parent or guardian. Teams are coached by volunteer parent coaches. Practice schedules will be created based on the availability of volunteer coaches and school facilities. It is not uncommon for practices to run as late as 8:30pm. Coaches should be available for Monday practices, as well as the weekday games and tournament. Co-coaching is encouraged as it gives participants more one-on-one attention.Coaches meeting will be held 6:30-7pm Aug. 20th at WS Rec.

TIME/SITE:
Times and sites are TBD based on gym and coach availability. An email will be sent to registrants with a specific game and practice schedule as soon as they are available. PLEASE be aware that due to extremely limited gym time it is not uncommon for teams to practice until 8:30pm.
GRADES: 5th & 6th grade girls in fall of 2025
