About This Activity
One of the strongest predictors of reading success is a child's ability to notice and manipulate individual sounds in spoken words in early childhood. Research has shown that music can be a powerful tool in developing reading readiness skills. This class will focus on listening skills, oral language, phonemic awareness, and alphabet awareness through engaging books, play, and music activities. *NOTE* Early Childhood students enrolled in full-day academic classes are not allowed to leave to attend CEA classes which operate during normal academic hours. #132S (spring-Jan 27; Feb 3, 10, 17; Mar 3, 10, 24; Apr 7, 14, 21, 28; May 5, 12, 19) $375
