Polymer Clay: Penguin and Polar Bear - OnlineFor ages 8 to Adult
Saturday, January 30th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Create, express yourself. In this one-day online class, learn basic polymer clay techniques. This class will meet over Zoom and the instructor will do a live demo to follow along with. Participants will be able to customize their penguin and polar bear to their liking. Parents are encouraged to help their kids with their project.
NOTE: This class is family friendly. Please sign up per household.COOKING: Parents are needed for cooking the project; you can cook the project after the Zoom is over.
MATERIALS:
Things Participants will need to get:
-Sculpey/polymer clay: Michaels and Joann’s sell colors separately or in bundles.
*You can make your creatures as big or as small as you wish, so take that into account when deciding on how much clay you want to buy.
*Suggested colors: (black, white, and orange); however feel free to make your creatures out of any colors you prefer.
-Tooth pick
-Cooking tray and foil to cook it on afterwards
Optional:
-An X-acto knife can be useful for cutting, but should only be used under parental supervision.
-Embossing stylus from the Dollar Tree can be useful for smoothing the clay.
-If you wanted to make any of your creatures into a charm you would need Eye pins.
Kellie Jarr is a Chicago based artist who received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Studio Art from Northeastern Illinois University. Her work has been displayed and featured in multiple exhibitions around campus. While her emphasis is Drawing with minors in Interactive Design and Art History, she also enjoys working with other media such as Coding, Photography and Polymer clay.
