About This Activity

Description

Lessons are held at the Downtown Aquatic Center at 1860 Anaheim Ave location in Lions Park.

Spring lessons meet twice-per-week, either on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays, for four weeks. Each class meeting is 25 minutes. Individual class times vary.

Parent & Child (P&C)

Ages 6 months - 3 years, class ratio 12:1.

Enrolled participants must be at least 6 months of age; parent participation in the water is required; one adult or parent over the age of 18 per child.

Parent and child share the fun of learning to swim. You will assist your child with basic water adjustment, breath control, and swimming readiness. Class emphasis is on fun and safety

Notes:

  • Participants exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or have been advised by a physician that they are COVID-19 positive, should not participate in swim lessons. Please contact the Downtown Aquatic Center to cancel your swim lessons.
  • Apply sunscreen 30 minutes before class beginning.
  • Appropriate swimsuit must be worn during class; no street clothes, undergarments, or sportswear allowed.
  • Swimsuits with flotation devices are not allowed in the pool.
  • It is recommended that long hair be pulled back with a hair tie.

This is an abbreviated list, see office for complete list of curriculum.

*Participant level readiness is at the discretion of the instructor. It is the responsibility of the parent to register the participant in the appropriate level. Free level placement testing is available. If a child does not prove competency during the first class meeting, they will be removed from the class. Efforts will be made to place child in correct level, but there is no guarantee space will be available.

A $10.00 transfer fee will apply to change levels, class times, or sessions. A $20.00 cancellation fee will apply to any refund. The $5.00 administrative fee is non-refundable. No prorated refunds.
