LITs will develop essential lifeguarding and aquatic teaching skills in this preparatory program. Participants will learn effective techniques for leading water games, managing discipline, and engaging children in swim lessons within a Swim lesson setting. LITs will learn basics of water safety and important information to prepare for a lifeguarding class. Interested candidates must register for one of the available interview time slots. If selected, the LIT must commit to volunteering for two consecutive weeks at one of our pool locations, attend a mandatory parent meeting, and participate in the staff training session on June 11th & 12th.
If accepted into the program, there is a fee of $55 for residents and $66 for non-residents. Instructions for registration and payment will be provided upon acceptance.
