10 sessions x 1 hour Tuesday - March 4, 11, 18, 25 | April 1, 15, 22, 29 | May 6, 13 Dive into an exciting course where kids in grades 3 -5 get to step into the fascinating world of storytelling and filmmaking. With just the right balance of structure and creative freedom, students will explore the art of filmmaking by selecting their story, theme, and genre from a curated set of fun ideas, transforming them into unique, well-crafted plots. Our well-crafted curriculum guides students through every step of the process. They’ll start with pre-production, participating in a “Writer’s Room” to brainstorm and develop original ideas for their very own short film. From there, they’ll dive into scriptwriting, crafting compelling stories, and collaborating to create shot lists and detailed storyboards. As they move into the production phase, students will bring their ideas to life—building props, preparing scenes, and shooting their short films. Finally, in the post-production phase, they’ll review a rough draft of their video, provide feedback, and see their hard work come together. This course allows students to explore every step of the filmmaking process while fostering teamwork, creativity, and technical skills. CineCraft will enable your student to: - Create Original Stories by stepping into the roles of scriptwriters, bringing their ideas to life on screen. - Ignite Imagination as they explore the world of filmmaking and storytelling, discovering the magic of visual storytelling. - Role Playing as students become the actors, directors, writers, and cinematographers of their own films. Note: We love to keep parents updated on the class progress. We have established three key communication points: a teacher introduction to start the semester, a midpoint update featuring progress and activity photos, and a final email summarizing the semester’s achievements.
