About This Activity
When chaos erupts, the drama begins! In Disaster Has Struck!, young performers will dive into the thrilling world of theatrical storytelling by creating scenes and characters caught in the middle of unexpected calamities. From daring rescues to hilarious misunderstandings, students will learn how to bring high-stakes situations to life on stage through improvisation, character development, and creative collaboration. Put your amazing ideas into action! Playmakers students are both playwrights and actors. In this one week acting camp, students will learn acting skills and terminology. Then, they’ll use these skills to write an original play as a group, create characters, write dialogue, and show off their skills in a final performance. Young actors will have a blast in this creative acting camp!
