Supervisor: Christopher Seylar Please see camp description for complete description. The camp begins on July 14, with rehearsals Monday through Friday, from 8:30am - 4:30pm. Rehearsal dates are as follows: 7/14, 7/15, 7/16, 7/17, 7/18, 7/21, 7/22, 7/23, 7/24, and 7/25. Please ensure that students are able to attend ALL rehearsals in order to have a successful show. Students will need to pack and bring lunch each day. Our musical camp is a fun-filled, busy, and intense two weeks. In addition to attending and being engaged in rehearsal every day, students should be prepared to work on their parts outside of rehearsal, and to work on songs, dialogue, and choreography before the camp starts. All students need to attend ALL rehearsals, meetings, and performances. All rehearsals and performances will be held at Mountain View Middle Middle School. We will have 2 performances on July 25 at 3:00pm and 6:30pm. Please note that on Friday, July 25 students will stay from 8:30am through the end of the second performance and cleanup (most likely around 8:30pm). Dinner will be provided for students on this day. During camp, students will focus on honing various theatrical skills including musical, dramatic, movement/dance, artistic, and technical skills. Students will work on vocal technique, solo and group choreography and movement, blocking and staging, scenework, developing characters, and making choices. Students will be engaged in the design process and have opportunities to paint, assemble costumes, and learn about the various technical elements that go into the show as they work collaboratively with the crew and how the two groups work together to make a production successful. Additionally, students will improve their dramatic skills through theatre games and improvisation activities. A $15 CANCELLATION FEE WILL BE ASSESSED FOR CANCELLATION OF ANY CAMP REGISTRATION.
